At Preferred Financial Strategies we are challenging our clients to think about little ways they can improve their financial fitness. We are calling it the:

“Get $ Fit Challenge”

Each month we will ask our clients, our listeners and our readers to respond to a simple challenge that will help them become more financially fit.

February’s  “Get $ Fit Challenge” is …

What apps help you stay on track financially?

Technology is wonderful, at times. Sometimes it can down right frustrating.. but that’s another blog post. Today we are focusing on technology that can save you money. Now that really is pretty cool. Today most of us have smart devices, big tablets, little tablets etc., So for those of you that are plugged in to a favorite portable device, what apps do you use that help you stay on track financially?

I have a few favorites that I like to use. For example GasBuddies is one of my go-to apps. Gas is so expensive these days. If I need gas I love to feel like I’m getting a deal. Of course it only makes sense if the cheap gas is on my way somewhere. Check it out! The cheapest gas earlier this week was in Huntersville.

Let us know what apps you like to use to help you stay focused and disciplined in  achieving your financial goals. Below are some other favorites that help us save a few bucks.

GasBuddy

Gas Buddies – Find low gas prices by city, state or zipcode.

Groupon

Groupon – Good Source for local coupons for services you use    regularly and restaurants you frequent. Get a daily email on bargains for the best things to do in your area.

Living Social

Living Social – Another place to find deals on dining and spas        to trips and adventures locally and abroad.

Discover Card

Banks , Bank Cards – You can find apps for most any bank or bank card. This makes managing your credit card balances and payments  a snap when you are on the go.

Budget Envelopes

Budget Envelops – Keeps you on budget with virtual  envelopes for keeping track of what you have spent in each category. Can be synced with other devices.

So tell us, how do you use technology to stay on track of your finances? If you have an idea for a “Get $ Fit Challenge” Let us know.
