What do you see when you view this piece of art? It is three dimensional and hangs in my home. You can hang it any way and still enjoy it. The texture of it and all the colors engage the eye and, at least for me, inspire creative energy. It is titled, “Gobs of Goo” and is a unique piece by Jonas Gerard.
When it comes to your finances it is always important to keep your focus and perspective clear and open. So often, I’ve called ‘budget’ a dirty six letter word! Folks look at their financial records and budgets and sometimes can get what I call the ‘crazy’ look. Organization is important! If disorganized, you probably didn’t intend to be? Now is the time to resolve to make a change!
Spending a few hours categorizing and organizing your financial records will help you have a starting point for beginning or updating your financial plan. Don’t try to do it all at one time if you don’t have a system in place. Start the process with baby steps and take a deep breath and walk away for a while if you feel overwhelmed.
Walking away when needed is very smart in both the short and long run. We don’t make financial habits fast, nor can we change our patterns quickly. A process and time is required. After a time away from your documents and budgets you will come back with a new focus. Continue your new focus and don’t let your perspective get ahead of you.
When I talk about perspective I mean the conclusions you form. Having an independent financial advisor like me can help provide perspective. Accustomed to seeing many different situations, I can pose questions, provide insights, and help you make your overall situation work more like you want it to. Financial planning is like a big jigsaw puzzle; all the pieces need to fit together correctly to make the picture perfect. I can help you make that happen! I’m talented in making the complex simple and coaching folks to plan for their financial future.
