Looking Back, Looking Forward, Looking Out

2012 – The Year in Review

2012 was one for the year books. But then haven’t we said that every year in recent history?  After all is said and done The Bulls have it! When I reflect back on 2012 I think of it as the year of the sound bite.

Looking back… There was much to talk about including a hotly contested election, multiple natural disasters and one global crisis after another yet the stock market persisted and ended the year in positive territory.

Looking forward… We remain in a period of historically low interest rates. Much like the old country song by Johnny Lee (I date myself) this has forced many investors to look for yield in all the wrong places, possibly creating additional and unintential risk.

Looking out… Does your portfolio have hidden risk? If you are not currently a client, now is a great time for a portfolio review to ensure your portfolio is on track for what’s ahead in 2013.
