Feng Shui Your Finances!

Feng Shui ColorsNo doubt most of us have read about the art of feng shui. The principal behind feng shui is to have our surroundings be in harmony and complimentary to all other aspects of our living environment. When in balance and alignment, the chi, or energy flows smoothly and without interruption.  When you enter a room, home or office that has employed the feng shui principles you feel more at ease and relaxed. It is a place you want to spend time in because you are comfortable there.

Our finances are no different! If we live from paycheck to paycheck or have a lot of credit card debt our energy is distracted from other important matters. How can one focus on a child, their job, or their spouse if money worries override their thoughts? Money causes more troubles in relationships than any other issue. As with any stressors, building tensions because of money issues can cause side effects. Arguments, stress related ailments like high blood pressure; migraines and so on may have ties to fiscal anxiety.

What to do?

Knowledge is empowering. Schools, however, do a lousy job of instructing students on the basics of money management. More time is spent on ancient Rome than on how to create and follow a budget. There are many educational tools available online. Many basic guides exist to teach about budgeting, basics of investing and so on. The raw tools are available online.

The problem?

People still don’t act! In my 30 plus years as a financial advisor I’ve observed some constants about behaviors and finance. Bottom line?  People won’t do what they are not comfortable doing. Because this fiscal education isn’t second nature people procrastinate and will ask their friends or office mates what to do. A common thing we hear is that someone consulted the person at the next desk on where to invest their 401(k) funds. Can you imagine? Have you done this?

How we can help?

Planning is what we do! Skilled at mapping out strategies for success we educate, empower and mentor our clients to be savvier about money. When their finances are feng shuied, they have adequate protection for their family, are building on a savings cushion, have a budget, are knowledgeable on where to get information, know how much college education, retirement and financial freedom will cost and have a handle on their taxes. They have a will, power of attorney, and trusts established for minor children. They have a financial partner who is on their side of the fence. A feng shui financial counselor who works to keep it all in balance.

Acting now rather than later can be your key to becoming a feng shui financial success story.  Call us; you’ll be glad you did.
