Get “$” Fit Challenge- August 2014

Whether you are just beginning in the financial world or are looking back on your financial world this months Get “$” Fit Challenge relates to you!

I came across the article Worst Money Mistakes You Can Make at Any Age the other day and it made me look back at my personal spending and savings. Its focus covered each age group by decade. Comments from readers can be seen too. I am a full advocate of saving your money and budgeting your expenses. These 2 steps are the first things we do with our finances!

The topic of the people in their 20’s really resonates with me. Both my children are in their 20’s and have expenses they have to budget for, but they also love their social lives and don’t always think about the future. I always remind them to watch what they spend and really try to instill the simple steps of budgeting and saving. They’ve heard this message for years. They both say many of their peers never received this message from parents.

It is never to late to look back and re-think what you are doing financially. Take a look at the article and think about what basics you are currently practicing.
